See which products actually make money

A product can top the revenue chart and still lose money once cost of goods, fulfillment and commission are counted.

First, tell the app your costs

1. Make sure Cost per item is filled in on your Shopify variants — that is where cost of goods comes from.
2. Open Settings, then Costs and profit.
3. Enter your fulfillment cost per order, monthly operating expenses and any commission rate.
4. Save.

Then run the report

1. Open Reports and search for profit.
2. Open Product Profits.
3. Sort by profit descending, then by margin to see which products earn their shelf space.

Products showing full revenue as profit usually have no cost per item recorded in Shopify.
