Build a matrix report in Explore
Cross-tabulate two dimensions — channel against month, or product against location.
A matrix turns one long grouped list into a grid, which is far easier to compare across periods.
- Open Explore and choose Orders as the source.
- Keep the mode on Summary (group and aggregate).
- Under Group by, add two fields — for example Channel and Order month.
- Under Metrics, add Sum of Total price.
- Set the layout to Matrix. The second field becomes the columns.
- Click Run.
Each row is a channel, each column a month, with a total column at the end. Toggle Show chart to see the same data as bars, then Save so it appears under Custom reports.
